There's no right or wrong answer here: you put out new pinestraw when you feel like you need to. The picture here shows some new pinestraw right beside some existing pinestraw that was put out around October 2025, so it was 6 months old. You can see that it didn't look bad, but the new pinestraw definitely has more color and texture.
